Fairy Tale Days

Fairy Tale Days...

finally back again, Here is the add as it appears in the paper and in the direct mail postcard.

Fairy_tale_days_8

More than a regular portrait session, this is an experience you
and your child will thoroughly enjoy.  These theme portraits
involve a scene and costumes.   This time, Your Eye on Photo
features  “The Wood Fairy”.  Please note that Elf costumes
are also available.

Your children will dress up in a fairy costume and wings, and
then walk onto the forest set. They can even  sit on the giant
mushroom (always a favorite) .  While  they are  playing,  I
will  capture their   beautiful faces and expressions  as they
marvel  in a  fantasy  environment.  Mom s,  dad s and grand
parents are encouraged to  observe.

opportunity  for special keepsakes from the photo session.
Your photo session must  take place  during those 3 days to
take advantage of this special offer.

We are accepting reservations now.  Please  call the studio

Happy New Year

Catching Up

Whew made to here... to the new year I mean. A little dented but survived. Christmas and the holiday season were sooooo busy, that it took me all this time to post this card.

I've been wanting to post this for a month now.

Nevilles_cover5x8_3

Some of you received this "live" in the mail. This was the cover of our family Christmas card/newsletter. We have been taking our family picture and sending out family Christmas cards for 12 years now. I have to say that this is the best family portrait we've ever had. It's being enlarged to a 24 x36 wall portrait.

This card was printed on card stock and had 3 other sides to it. more photos and little paragraphs about each family member. Just enough to up on major events but not too heavy and dry to read. It was a huge success. We usually send between 45 and 50 Greeting cards. This year we sent out 100+.

I already have 3 families booked for their christmas portrait and newsletter greeting card for next year.  I will be offering this service in October and November as a special. Keep your eye peeled.

Travel wise

I was in Japan on the 1st of January. Wow what a celebration. In Japan the new year is celebrated during three days. january 1st to 3rd. It is a holiday and celebration that revolves around the temple, worshiping and family.

The city I was in is called Narita.  If you travel to tokyo by plane, you will land at Narita airport. Narita is the home of one of the most important places of worship in Japan; Shinshoji temple. This temple was built in 940. It is at the heart of the new year festivities.

If you have a few hours to kill between flights, you can take a train from the airport tto Narita train station and walk from there to the temple.

On Narita's walking street, the one that leads to the temple, there were so many people one could hardly walk. All the shops were adorned in red and gold. there were lots of goodies to buy and to sample. It was a grand celebration.

Finally an update..

Hello every body,

It's been a long while since I wrote. Why???

Well, I have been extremely busy between the wedding season, The Bridal Show, flying and especially the Cabin Fever calendar 2008 edition. Here are some highlights.

The National Bridal show

I had the pleasure of exhibiting at the National Bridal show on September 7-9, 2007 at the international centre on Airport road in Mississauga. It was an incredibly busy week end. There was buzzing, there was the famous fashion show, there were incredible exhibits.

Your Eye on Photo was lucky enough to be situated between two of the most renowned exhibitors in Toronto. Wedding Bells and Irresistible cakes.  We had a lot of traffic.

We held a draw for this magnificent Pearl, Jade and SWAROVSKI Crystal necklace. Necklace_033for_web_3

In fact we drew 3 of them one for each day. The lucky winners were:Miss Emilie Knoechel from Toronto, Miss Aisha Sharif from Mississauga and Miss Priscilla Laramee from Caledon. Congratulations to all three of you.  Not only on winning a necklace but also and more importantly on your upcoming wedding.

I would like to thank all of you who stopped at our booth and took a moment to chat.

CABIN FEVER CALENDAR - 2008 EDITION

I've had to pass on a wedding or two to be able to complete this very worthy project. I had committed to it ,and committed I was, throughout.

I am a little sad that it's over but also relieved. It was tremendous play, tremendous work, and tremendously rewarding when I saw the results in print. Can't show you anything yet !!!! You'll have to come to the launch. Every one is invited to come and meet the models (and the team)

The launch: October 10 at 7:30 pm

The venue: Lot 332

332 Richmond Street west , Toronto  I am hereby inviting you all to the launch. of our famous and much anticipated calendar.  Click the link below to see details about the do and to accept the invitation.

Don't forget the cause. As always, all proceeds go to Princess Margaret Hospital; this year for Leukemia research and treatment.

I must say... I am very proud of having been part of this project.

Now that the post production is over, I for one, will be looking forward to an amazing party on the 10th. See you all there.

Now resuming my normal season. Wedding Interviews for 2008, Boudoir session and maternity session this week.

I will keep you posted, I promise.
